Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a kiddush at Beth Israel!   To find open dates to sponsor a kiddush, contact the office.  To volunteer to help prepare fresh foods, set up or clean up, please contact the kiddush committee or sign up for a Shabbat via their Doodle calendar.

Once you've decided on the date, we'll need to work out the details.  Below is a summary of the planning decisions we need to make.  Menu decisions need to be finalized at least 2 weeks prior to your sponsored date to ensure that all options remain available.  Click here to fill out this information online and send it to the kiddush committee.

  • which menu options you would like?
  • how many people you would like to plan for?
  • will you use linen or plastic tablecloths?
  • will you purchase your own paper goods?
  • will you volunteer to help with a kiddush on a different week?

Paper Goods and Tablecloths

The above prices include the use of Beth Israel Center's standard array of paper goods (plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, plastic tablecloths, etc) provided with whatever styles and colors are available.  Many families have their own thoughts on decorating for their special kiddush, and we invite them to purchase their own plates, napkins, cutlery and tablecloths, and drop them off at Beth Israel Center by Thursday afternoon.

It is also possible to use the Beth Israel Center's linen tablecloths, with the addition of a $75 laundering charge.

Volunteering

Since you are sponsoring a kiddush, we assume that you would rather enjoy that event than work in the kitchen on that day!  However, the success of our kiddush program relies on volunteers to shop, prepare food and setup/cleanup.  Please consider volunteering on another Shabbat to support our program.
