We celebrate Shabbat each Friday at 5:45pm and on Saturday mornings beginning at 9:30. All are welcome.
Shabbat morning services in our Main Sanctuary are participatory, warm, inspiring and egalitarian. We are blessed with a skilled and passionate cadre of congregants who lead our davening and read from the sefer Torah each week. Our worship begins with P'seukei D'zimra and continues through Shacharit, Torah service (where we read the complete Parsha) and concludes with Musaf. We join together in a warm and inviting community kiddush lunch every week. Visitors are always warmly welcomed!
Friday evening services are typically held in our Small Sanctuary, on the lower level. All are welcome to gather beginning at 5:00, as we toast the week that was and schmooze before beginning our song-filled services at 5:45pm.
This summer, on June 15, July 20 and August 10 our Friday evening services move to Hoyt Park (3902 Regent St.) and are followed by a kosher-dairy potluck dinner. Please come!
Our popular Matchilim (beginners) service for preschoolers and Shorashim (roots) for children in grades K-2 meet every Shabbat morning that school is in session, beginning at 10:30 in classrooms on the lower level. Preschoolers and school-age children enjoy age-appropriate stories, songs and prayer. Preschoolers should bring a grown-up along. School-age children may attend children's services while their grown-ups are in the main sanctuary.
During the summer, we offer a multi-age children's service at 10:30 on select Shabbatot: June 9, July 7 and 21, August 11 and 25.
During the school year, Children in grades 3-7 who are registered Talmud Torah students attend Shabbat School on Saturday mornings starting at 9:30. Visitors are welcome to join them for age-appropriate t'fillah beginning at 10:30.
Children are always welcome in the Main Sanctuary.
